Birch Grove No. 1 began as a plein-air study at the edge of a winter woodland, where bare silver birches catch the last of the afternoon light. Elise Maren builds the scene in thin, luminous glazes — quiet ochres and frost-blues that shift as the light in your room changes through the day.
Each edition is printed to order using pigment inks rated for 100+ years, then hand-finished and framed in our studio. It arrives ready to hang, with a signed certificate of authenticity and the edition number recorded in our archive.

Framing & care
Choose your frame at checkout and we build it to order. Frames are assembled by hand from solid FSC-certified hardwood mouldings — Natural Oak, Walnut or Black — with a float mount so the edge of the work stays visible, behind UV-protective, shatter-resistant glazing. Prefer your own framer? Choose Unframed and it ships rolled in an archival tube.

Caring for your piece. Hang out of direct sunlight and away from damp. Dust the glazing with a dry microfibre cloth — never spray cleaner directly onto the surface. Treated kindly, your piece will hold its colour for a lifetime.
Shipping & returns
Because each piece is made to order, allow 3–5 days in the studio for production and hand-framing. Before it ships, we send you a photograph of your finished piece for approval — so you know exactly what’s arriving. Delivery is then by free, fully-insured express courier, worldwide, packed plastic-free in rigid, corner-protected boxing.
